As election day draws nearer, members of the democratic party show solidarity, as candidates from new comers, to long time incumbents gather around Hawaii’s Captain in a rally of support.

Daniel K Inouye, Neil Abercrombie, Dan Akaka SR, Dan Akaka Jr, Mazie Hirono, Josh Green, Denny Coffman, Cindy Evans, Pete Hoffman, Newcomer Brittany Smart, and many other important members of the democratic party were in the crowd.

Gubernatorial Candidate Neil Ambercrombie Makes a Surprise Visit at Kona Rally

Congressman and Gubernatorial Candidate Neil Ambercrombie made a surprise appearance at a roadside rally in Kona for Senator Dan Inouye, on Monday September 20th, 2010. Two of the most experienced candidates in Hawaii’s history, they will both be on the card again this November representing the Hawaii Democratic Party. Both Neil Abercrombie and Dan Inouye have had a huge impact on Hawaii, and are Hawaiian Legends.

Upcoming Events: Kona Brewery In Kona: Donald Kaulia, Anuhea and more

Kona Brewery is the place to be in September. One of the best venues in Kona for live music, some of our favorites are playing this month. First off, is Ki-ho’alu Slack Key Master Donald Kaulia this Sunday September 12th from 5-8pm. Later in the month, Anuhea comes back to the Big Island for this one time show time special show at the Kona Brewery 6:30 – 9:00 pm. Local artist Dennis Garcia wraps up the lineup on September 26th.

18th Annual Kona Slack Key Festival

Ki-ho’alu Foundation is excited to announce to the public that the 18th Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival “Kona Style” is on schedule to happen on Sept 5th, 2010 at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa’s (air conditioned) Convention Center from 12 Noon – 5 PM.
